Our Partner: Community Shares of Minnesota

Welcome to the Lexington-Hamline Neighborhood!

Carlson School of Management Graduate Volunteer Consultants: John Naughtin, Nicholas Robinson, Kelly Doohen, Huyen Le, and Bharat Umarji, spent a little over two months working with Lex-Ham. First they attended the board’s strategic planning retreat in January, and heard what kinds of ideas were being considered. Then they began exploring and researching ways that we can make Lex-Ham an even stronger community than it is already. Their final presentation to the board was met with great enthusiasm. Attached is the slide show from their presentation.

We would love to hear your thoughts. The Lex-Ham Board of Directors hopes to survey and/or hold focus groups to gather community input on some of the possibilities presented by the students. If you have a comment or if you would like to participate in a focus group, please email Margaret at lexham@lexham.org.

Thank you to everyone who attended the 23rd Annual Lex-Ham Spaghetti Dinner

We had a wonderful turnout on Sunday, March 6th, for the annual spaghetti dinner. Thank you to all of our great neighbors who donated time, prizes, food, good cheer and music!
We'll provide all the scrumptious details in the next issue of the Eavesdropper (April).

Our business donations came from the following places:
Pizza Luce, Bike Express, Solo Vino, Kowalski's, Johnson & Sons Florist, Breadsmith, and Cub Foods.

Next time you go to one of these merchants, tell them thanks on behalf of Lex-Ham Community Council. They like to know that the word is out, about their support and generosity!

Keep informed with the LexHam e-list
Your Lex-Ham Community Council has developed an email notification list called the Lex-Ham e-list. This service will alert interested residents to community meetings, crime alerts, public hearings, or other community news that can't wait for the next Eavesdropper publication. If you would like to be part of this service, please email the office with your contact info at lexham@lexham.org.

The home of St. Paul's first neighborhood organization.

Our Mission
The purpose of the Lexington-Hamline Community Council is to improve the quality of life and bring about positive community change in the Lexington-Hamline neighborhood of St. Paul. This is done through the active involvement of neighborhood residents in community projects, programs, and direct action on issues which affect the neighborhood.

Anyone can participate
Any Lex-Ham resident age 16 years or older is eligible to sit on the Lex-Ham Board of Directors. The Board meets on the last Monday of each month (except December). Elections are held at the community-wide annual meeting and dinner in late October.

Or you can volunteer for one of our many committees and neighborhood programs.

Thanks and welcome!
